You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Secret Tasks

A developer in my team keeps developing additional features to User Stories that were not required by the PO. Since they are quite useful the PO does not object them but it causes the team to never finish the committed stories. The team & PO fail to see that all those secret features mess up all planning & estimating, since they are "useful". Suggestions to add an extra story are rejected because it causes "overhead". Both developer & PO are quite new to agile development. Any suggestions?

      • Is Agile too inefficient for start-ups?

Is Agile too inefficient for cash-strapped start-ups? To answer that, Jason Yip looks at how an Agilist (with a strong Extreme Programming flavour) would think about preserving cash.

        • Implement Flattr Service

          Hi guys,

I really like your podcast. I think it is the best podcast for Agile Coaches, Scrum Masters and such like because you provide real content on a regular basis. Please keep doing. :-)

I wanted to recommend that you set up a flattr button (https://flattr.com) on your site, your podcast episodes and your other resources. I think that flattr is a good feedback method for the content provider and for the consumer. It's easy to set up for the content provider. It's an easy feedback method for consumers. As a consumer I can say "I appreciate…

          • Devs/Testers and cross-functionality

I once heard Roy mention on the podcast pairing a developer with someone non-technical (like a graphic designer or something). I thought it was crazy. I've spent a fair amount of time now on different teams with testers who have no background in coding at all, and I can tell you it just leads to frustration for both the testers and the developers when they pair.

I get the idea of getting different perspectives, and I support the concept of collective ownership, but is that really effective in the long term? How do you build a cross-functional team with people…

            • Scaling agile

So this isn't a new problem, but the whole SAFe thing is getting traction at XXXXX now. Execs are attracted to it for the reasons we all know.

So my question is: how do you answer the questions and concerns of these people who want to scale agile? These people have lots of teams and lots of projects, and want high communication, visibility, and yes, control. They're not really pacified by saying "get good at agile in the small first."

I don't notice that they're necessarily concerned with results or value in these conversations, by the way. I also don't…

              • Pairing

I've re-listened a couple of times to Ep 113, where you and Roy are pretty hard on a study of pair programming. Some of the criticism is well-deserved (such as LOC as a benchmark of productivity), but I felt you didn't spend enough time on the problem of actual metrics for pair programming. Although you did briefly note the scarcity of real data on it (and the difficulty in measuring such a thing), I felt you were pretty harsh on a study that at least tried to measure such things, however awkwardly.

If I'm honest about it, I would say…
